Membership to the HRE Club is exclusive and upon application only.
There are two types of Membership to the Club - Inner Circle Memberships and Outer Circle Memberships.
New Member establishments join the HRE Club by paying a Membership fee per annum. Our fees are linked to the size of the hotel and are as follows:
· $299: Up to 10 rooms
· $399: 11-25 rooms
· $499: 26-50 rooms
· $599: 51-100 rooms
· $699: 101-150 rooms
· $799: 151-200 rooms
· $899: 200 plus rooms
This fee entitles the Member hotelier to trade freely and extensively for 12 consecutive months in both the Inner Circle of Membership and the Outer Circle of Membership.
The Inner Circle of Membership joins Members by means of email funneling and once they have chosen a destination and made contact through our mail service, they are then free to customize their exchange as they like.
The Outer Circle of Membership allows our HRE Club Members special access to the DAE (Dial an Exchange) global network of properties through the Gold Advantage membership that is issued to all our HRE Club Members.
No commission fees are charged on trade transactions for our Members in the Inner Circle, but in the Outer Circle there are low administrative exchange fees that need to be paid for each exchange due to the fact that there is a vast network of destinations that need to be managed by our exchange partner, DAE (Dial and Exchange).
The preparation for the exchange is simple: Members peruse the website for either the Inner Circle of membership destinations or the Outer Circle of membership destinations (through DAE) and decide where they would like to visit. If they decide to visit an Inner Circle establishment, a request is then sent to the destination member with the details of dates and durations of the stay. Once the destination Member has accepted the pending trade request, Members contact each other directly, either via phone or email through our HRE Club website, and agree on their own terms to trade facilities.
If the Outer Circle destination is chosen through the DAE system, that process is followed where the credits provided by DAE are utilised to effect the exchange at the prescribed administrative exchange fee for the country where the Member is domiciled.
As all the destinations provided by DAE are accredited luxury resorts/hotels and the trade will be “like for like” (i.e the equivalent of a star category for another star category and one bedroom for one bedroom or a 2 bedroom suite for a 2 bedroom suite) but must be for a week minimum.
In both our Inner Circle of Membership and our Outer Circle of membership, the exchange does not need to occur simultaneously, which is one of the best features of the HRE Club offering.
In the Inner Circle, the Members communicate with each other to ensure they are able to accommodate the dates required and note that if a Member has already used their establishment, they still have the ability to use the other Member’s establishment within the next 12 months. This is an internal arrangement between Inner Circle Members and it is up to them to keep track of credit that is due to them and when Members make use of them. Exchanges therefore do not need to be simultaneous, but are limited to the Member establishment that a Member has chosen to book and make use of. If a Member wants to book time, which can be single night(s) or week(s) in the Inner Circle of Membership, and the chosen destination establishment is fully booked, there are two options:
1) Choose another establishment in the Inner Circle list of hotels/resorts/lodges or guest houses; or
2) Go to the outer Circle list of destinations and make a booking there.
The difference between the two options are as follows:
1. The Inner Circle List of Member destinations, although growing every day, is not as extensive as the Outer Circle since it consists of establishments who are mostly non-timeshare/shared ownership operations. The Outer Circle List of Establishments is vast and covers the globe;
2. The Inner Circle Members do not pay any exchange administrative fees since it is a one-on-one activity between General Managers who make their own arrangements. The Outer Circle Membership exchanges carry a low administrative fee since it is a complicated process whereby HRE Club members tap into a real time database of hotels and resorts which have stock available for booking and also require Member Certificates to be issued at each booking to prove that it our Members (r their family and friends) who are utilising the exchange;
3. The Inner Circle Members can exchange single nights or whole weeks or more with each other – there are no restrictions. In the Outer Circle of Membership, only week(s) may be deposited and exchanged week for week. They also need not be at the same establishment that a Member has already booked or used before.
4. In the Outer Circle of Membership, a Member establishment obtains and accumulates credits that it can use at any time at any participating DAE establishment that has available time over a 12 month period from when the time is deposited. In the Inner Circle of Membership exchanges are just done by interaction between Members – no formal credits are required and the way in which the exchanges are recorded are left up to each Member establishment.
The HRE Club facilitates the application process by all new Members, the completion of the Resort Template for display on the HRE Club website and the DAE website and the registration as Members with both the HRE Club for Inner Circle Membership benefits and with DAE for the Outer Circle Membership benefits and exchanges.
Each of our Members receives an HRE Club Membership Card with a unique Membership number that allows it to identify itself with other HRE Club Members when carrying out Inner Circle Membership exchanges, as well as for login to the DAE network when carrying out Outer Circle Membership exchanges or utilising other benefits offered by the DAE Gold Exchange program which all our HRE Club Members become part of.
